In my quest for a Reiki Master, fate led me to the remarkable Karine Lespinasse, introduced through a mutual friend deeply immersed in the world of Holistic Healing. Our journey together began with a Reiki session during which Karine astutely discerned a need for abundance in my life. It was a candid conversation about my intentions that brought my longing to the forefront – I yearned to find love. Scarred by past betrayals, I found it challenging to both accept and extend love in my life. Our Reiki session, enriched by the soothing influence of essential oils and the harmonizing power of sound therapy, may have only lasted half an hour, but its impact was profound. During our session, Karine's intuition detected subtle shifts of energy in my stomach and knees, signifying that forgiveness held the key to my journey toward love. It became evident that I needed to embark on a path of self-forgiveness and forgiveness of those who had wronged me, paving the way for a profound healing journey on my quest for love.

How did you first become interested in the holistic healing approach, incorporating laughing yoga, Reiki, card reading, and essential oils?


A full decade has passed since I first stumbled upon the world of Reiki.


Picture this: life was a wild emotional ride. We had just uprooted ourselves from our home of eight years in Shanghai and landed in Thailand. Amidst this tumultuous transition, I carried the responsibility of looking after two young kids who were going through their very first move (and let's not forget the daunting task of moving our two Guinea pigs from China to Thailand, which our boys were deeply attached to). Meanwhile, my marriage was facing its own set of challenges, and I was grappling with the painful loss of a job I had dedicated eight years of my life to at the French Alliance of Shanghai.


In the midst of this chaos, a simple practice called Reiki entered my life like a beacon of hope and healing.


I can still vividly recall the day I walked into the Omroom center, desperately seeking holistic health solutions. The lady at the reception asked me, "Are you interested in Reiki?" At that moment, I was absolutely clueless about what Reiki was all about. But as I broke down in tears right there in front of her, she kindly offered me a session. That one-hour session felt like a timeless journey into the depths of my being. I was left astounded when Melanie, who knew absolutely nothing about my life, managed to pinpoint my sources of anxiety and migraines which came from my husband's anger, which had somehow taken residence within me. The impact of that session was profound – I experienced a wave of relief, tranquility, and harmony that stayed with me for three whole days. In that transformative moment, I made a heartfelt promise to myself: I would dive headfirst into training and mastering this healing modality.


Over the next two years, under the nurturing guidance of my mentors, Isabel and Chris, I embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery and learning. I owe them immeasurable gratitude.


Four years ago, I found myself in the role of a teacher when I was invited to share my knowledge. My mission was clear: to empower others to experience the same sense of well-being and healing that had transformed my own life.


As I look back on these past ten years, I see a remarkable transformation marked by personal growth, profound healing, and a deep desire to share the incredible gift of Reiki with others.


Holistic healing often emphasizes self-care and self-discovery. How do you empower your clients to continue their healing journey outside of your sessions?


In my work with clients, I place a strong emphasis on helping them continue their healing journey beyond our sessions. I believe that holistic well-being is a deeply personal path, and it's crucial to find self-care practices that truly resonate with each individual.


Here are some of the practices I often recommend:

  1. Meditation: I encourage my clients to explore meditation, as it can help them connect with their inner selves and find a sense of calm and balance.

  2. Mindfulness Exercises: Practicing mindfulness is another valuable tool for self-care. It allows individuals to stay present in the moment and cultivate a greater awareness of their thoughts and feelings.

  3. Music with 432 hertz frequencies: Listening to music with 432 hertz frequencies can have a soothing and healing effect on the mind and body. It's a simple yet powerful way to enhance one's well-being.

  4. High-Quality Essential Oils: Aromatherapy with high-quality essential oils can provide relaxation and promote emotional well-being. It's a delightful way to incorporate self-care into daily life.

  5. Nature Walks and Gardening: Connecting with nature through activities like walking in the woods or tending to a garden can be incredibly grounding and rejuvenating.

  6. Artistic Activities: Engaging in artistic pursuits, whether it's painting, drawing, writing, or any creative outlet, can be a therapeutic way to express oneself and find inner peace.

I encourage clients to start small with these practices, incorporating them into their daily routines in manageable ways. It's about making self-care a natural part of their lives.


Additionally, I provide resources like free self-practice apps such as Insight Timer and Cohera to support their journey.


I firmly believe that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to holistic well-being. Each person's path is unique, and the goal is to quiet the ego and connect to higher levels of consciousness in a way that feels authentic to them.


As we have the opportunity to meet face-to-face again, I'm excited about the prospect of connecting and learning from a diverse group of experienced therapists. Sharing our knowledge and experiences can only enrich our collective understanding of holistic healing.


Could you recount a particularly memorable moment when you used your skills to uncover hidden blockages or challenges within a client's energy field, leading to their healing and transformation?


When clients come to me, I know they're on a path of transformation, whether it happens immediately or down the road. It feels like a synchronicity, as if I'm planting a seed that will bloom when they're ready. I may not always witness the full extent of their transformation, but I remain energetically connected with them throughout their journey.


Among the many stories I could share, one that stands out involves a client I'll call Ann. She attended multiple sessions with me, and Ann is a truly generous and warm-hearted person. Her journey from one session to the next was a remarkable example of personal growth and healing.


In her initial sessions, Ann expressed feeling tired, which is a common experience when we release pent-up emotions and energy. But as our sessions continued, she began to notice a significant shift. Ann described feeling a warm and revitalizing energy circulating within her, which was a powerful transformation. Moreover, Ann had a profound realization during our time together. She discovered that she had been consistently prioritizing others' needs over her own, often to the point of self-neglect.


Through our work, which included practices like self-centering and active meditation (since she enjoys walking), Ann began to put herself at the center of her own life. She also took the initiative to learn Reiki for self-care.


The results were truly inspiring. Ann's journey was marked by a blossoming of healing and self-awareness. Her story serves as a testament to the importance of self-care and self-prioritization, and it fuels my passion for helping others on their transformative paths.


Integrating energy healing into your holistic approach sounds powerful. How do you combine this aspect with other practices such as aura reading, Reiki, and essential oils to create a comprehensive healing experience?


Integrating energy healing with other practices is incredibly powerful. Throughout my journey, I've encountered various healing modalities, each entering my life when I needed them the most. I offer these diverse modalities to my clients to enrich their healing experience and facilitate profound transformation. It's all about catering to individual preferences and needs.


In my holistic approach, I combine Reiki with chakra reading, which allows me to assess the energy field and pinpoint any potential issues. Additionally, I incorporate the use of essential oils, which have a remarkable ability to impact our well-being rapidly. These molecules can reach the brain in just 22 seconds, enter the bloodstream within 2 minutes, and penetrate deep into cellular levels within 20 minutes. I've personally experienced the emotional release that can come from using essential oils, like when I first encountered the Northern Lights and found myself shedding tears of deep emotion.


By merging these different elements, I aim to create a comprehensive healing experience that addresses physical, emotional, and energetic aspects of well-being. This approach helps my clients achieve a profound state of balance and harmony in their lives, ensuring that their unique needs are met and supported on every level.


What advice would you give to individuals who might be on a similar journey of self-discovery, trying to uncover their own unique gifts and abilities for healing and spiritual connection?


For those of you who are on a journey of self-discovery and are exploring your own capacity for healing, I'd like to share some valuable insights:

  1. Prioritize Self-Care: Start by taking care of yourself. Make your well-being a priority, and this includes physical health. Regular exercise and maintaining good physical health lay a strong foundation for your overall wellness.

  2. Cultivate Self-Awareness: Embrace self-awareness through meditation and mindfulness practices. These practices can help you let go of things in your life that no longer serve you, and that may even include letting go of relationships that are holding you back.

  3. Trust Your Intuition: Pay attention to your inner voice, the one rooted in love rather than fear. Your intuition is a powerful guide in your healing journey. Learn to trust it, as it can lead you to valuable insights and decisions that align with your true self.

Remember, your journey of self-discovery and healing is a deeply personal one, and these practices can serve as stepping stones to help you unlock your inner potential and find greater balance and harmony in your life.
